Running but not cooling

It’s also worth checking filters and vents, as any obstructions could force the system to work harder but less efficiently.

Another issue could be the evaporator coils freezing because of the prolonged use of a dust-clogged filter. Clean or change the filter and run the unit on the fan setting to clear the ice, then book your annual service to ensure everything’s running smoothly.
